(S28) PT 4 - Back to School

Back in 2034 I was a freshman in high school at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, Illinois. I really enjoyed my time there. I got to play all over the field. I played wide receiver, right end, and outside linebacker before finally deciding defensive end was the best position for me. Sophomore and Junior year we won the conference championship and won the 7A Illinois State Championship my senior season. It was an awesome time and I really enjoyed my time at the school. I like to take any chance I can to give back to the community. So this summer when I got the chance to come back to the school and work with kids, I said absolutely. They have a really good program this year, maybe as good as the teams that I was a part of. I remember the passion and dreams I had back in high school and I see that same passion in these kids. I want to share everything I have learned away at college and in my season and a half in the DSFL. I want to help train these kids to be the best that they can be. I spent the summer helping with conditioning and block shedding drills. I even got offered a job to stay on the staff permanently. Unfortunately, I turned it down. There is plenty of time to coach when I am done but lots of football left for me to play and I need to get back to work.
