Having spent his fair share of time on the field and in the spotlight, Albert Ruschmann has become a household name. Given this newfound fame and notoriety, Albert Ruschmann decides that he would be remiss not to leverage it for promoting a charitable cause. The charity which he would represent would be Mental Health America. Mental health and illness are topics that do not receive anywhere near enough attention in the media. Oftentimes, talking about one's mental health can be viewed as "taboo" when in reality it should be treated no differently than discussing one's physical health. Unfortunately, as such, many individuals feel that they cannot discuss the pain and struggles they have experienced and may continue to experience daily in fear of judgement from others. This is even more true for celebrities and professional athletes who know others look up to them. They feel they must be strong and bear their cross alone. Albert Ruschmann would try and break the stigma by promoting Mental Health America. They raise money to help individuals maintain and improve their mental health. While there is no "silver bullet" for many mental health issues, charities like these aid individuals in taking those first steps towards bettering themselves mentally.
