Charity work for L’Gazzy is something pretty close to his heart.  He likes to spend one rest day each month by visiting a local college and educating the teenagers on the importance of protecting themselves against something which he risks every time he’s on the field – concussions.  I know what you’re thinking and yes, L’Gazzy may well be well linked to handing these out to unsuspecting opponents but come on, this is something he takes very seriously. 

After hearing about his endeavours in educating youth, local business leaders in Phoenix reached out to L’Gazzy and asked him to form a charity to spread the message further afield.  And that is how the "L’Gazzy Burfict How to Concuss", or LBHTC for short, charity was formed.  The charity aims at spreading the key message on how to tackle with the correct technique so as to avoid suffering a concussion.  In college football alone, L’Gazzy estimates that potential ISFL recruits are losing out on 15% of possible snaps because of their incorrect technique when taking down an opponent.  In addition, three college linebackers suffered career ending injuries last season alone through their poor technique.  This simply needs to change.

By being the face of the charity L’Gazzy hopes to improve this and ensure that that more college students get the opportunity to not only move through into the ISFL, but through life.
