Charity? First Ricky's gotta make it into the league, and then maybe he'll think about helping others...
Just kidding, but as a rookie in Dallas he has tried to make inroads through a few local organizations that are associated with the Birddogs, and he is a big fan of working and supporting the local animal shelters(and a few that happily help both birds and dogs). Sure, some of it might be for good PR, seeing draft day is coming up, but Ricky does have a soft spot in his heart for dogs and actually does enjoy his time helping out the local community while still getting to represent Dallas and helping acquire some good PR for the team. While it hasn't been the best season for the Birddogs, they still have plenty going for them after the big win last season, and the community gives them plenty of ways to give back. Ricky is known especially for being willing to do the dirty work in the shelter and doesn't seem to care as much about getting dirty. Either way, it's been a good rookie season for Ricky as he learns behind the kid of a HOFer, and is hoping some of that skill rubs off of him. Whether Ricky will keep working at animal shelters after the draft may be a question on people's minds, but at least he is being nice.. for now.
