Every year the duck population rises in Minnesota and there is limited habitat and resources for the magnificent water bird. John Huntsman has taken kindly to the local wildlife and started his charity to promote the local Ducks Unlimited chapters throughout the state of Minnesota. Upon retirement, Huntsman plans to cut all ties to the civilized community and head into the depths of the Minnesota forests to live among his billed friends. John Huntsman’s goal is to have every municipality in Minnesota to have enough money to fund a Ducks Unlimited chapter for their local wildlife conservation. In order to do that, Huntsman has been traveling throughout the state and going to local schools to get kids involved with learning about Ducks Unlimited and creating personalized Duck Houses (boxes). These duck boxes have all been signed by John Huntsman and available for purchase and sponsorship by the local community. Huntsman will be generously supplying the materials himself by finding harvestable wood in the forests of Minnesota and chopping down the trees himself and processing the wood into usable planks. Ducks Unlimited has had a steady increase in popularity throughout the state thanks to John Huntsman’s efforts and the duck population is stable and healthy.
