As far as the Awards Committee goes, that isn't always a disqualification for the award when they were nominated but didn't win in the past, especially when it isn't something like back-to-back seasons.

Isn't the definition of a breakout award someone who has not done similar production before, hence breakout? I think breakout should be more about people who have not done similar production as that can be looked at more like a bad year rather than a breakout when he gets back to where he/she usually produces.

This is generally how the committee views it as well. With Lewandowski, you could argue this was a bigger breakout than he had in S25. He about doubled his career high in TDs (I think its 3), had the second best yardage of his career and made the TEoty ballot for the 1st time. This is by far the hardest category, but don't think its too crazy seeing him nommed again
