What if we advertised some kind of special for new players? i.e. "Always been on the fence about joining a sim league? Start before [insert date] and we'll put $2,000,000 in your bank account!" That way there's no sustained TPE advantage that the grinders cannot earn, but there's a real benefit to joining at this moment instead of putting it off.
