While Honolulu has only lived for a short amount of time relative to the other teams that have been around since day 1, we still have a legend or two that could deserve being christened as having a statue in front of the stadium. Jed Podolak has been with this team through it all, whether making it through the years that we were .500, the years that we were terrible, or the year that made us 11-4-1 and gave us our first ever playoff birth in franchise history. Granted, we lost, but he was there along the way as a vet of the league and someone that we could rely on to make the plays that others couldn't have. Even though his presence in the locker room is gone now, now that he is retired and away from the league, he has still made an impact on the rookies that we're with him, and he set the foundation for others to succeed, such as Lalo Salamanca and Eleven Kendrick-Watts. He certainly impacted me throughout the years and helped me figure out how to catch balls better. I hope that we can make people happy if we put a memory of his career for all to see.
