The Sabercats have a special player in Jamar Lackson. Currently in his 7th season with San Jose, he has had 1,000 or more rushing yards 6 times. He has 71 combined touchdowns rushing and receiving, and he has a solig 4.3 average yard per rush. Lackson is the type of player that after retirement would be worthy of a statue. He has a tremendous work ethic which results in extremely solid play on the field. Jamar's consistency is what sets him apart. He puts his helmet on and you know what you are going to get with him. A top-tier running back that just grinds. He takes no plays off, and his talent in the ground game makes everyone else on the team better. He opens up numerous opportunities for the passing game to thrive, and he can break a long run on any play. He has had numerous 70+ yard runs, to go along with numerous 30+ yard receptions. He may very well get Hall of Fame consideration when all is said and done. However, even without that, he is a Sabercat legend that will not be forgotten. He is still etching his final place in San Jose lure, and the statue that should be placed in honor would be well deserved. We have quite a few seasons to find out how his story ends.
