The Norfolk Seawolves appointed a design committee to hash out the details of a new statue that would be constructed and put on display at the entrance of Seawolves Stadium. You know who wasn't asked to be on that committee? Miles Weperom. Miles is a smart and realistic guy so he knew that statues wouldn't be of him. After all, he's just a new guy. An amazing new guy, but still a new guy. No way would they consider a first year Seawolf as the player everyone sees when they walk in. They'd go legendary, right? They'd have to! The likely candidates would be Shawn Ariel, first ever DSFL MVP, or Suleiman Ramza, most recent Seawolves MVP. Nonetheless, Miles knew that statue would not be Miles. You know what Miles did? He immediately contacted an English sculptor he met while playing for the London Royals. This sculptor owed Miles everything after Miles saved the sculptor's son from drowning. Miles asked the man to prioritize a statue. Not just any statue. Miles needed this to obnoxiously large to overshadow what Norfolk had in mind. Several weeks passed by and Miles received a photo from the sculptor and boy was it glorious! It was better than he could ever have imagined. On the day the design committee announced the placement of the Ramza statue, Miles surprised them at the stadium with a huge hauler and a huge statue. Everyone was speechless. Some irate. Some awestruck. After some deliberation by the design committee they agreed that the statue Miles had made of himself could be displayed at the Seawolves business office, which was a separate location. Boss moves only by Miles.
