The Kansas City Coyotes have had many league greats pass through their locker room with plenty more on the way as well. However, one historic Kansas City player comes from a player that had a short tenure with the Coyotes, but still had their impact on the league for better or worse. The obvious choice for a Coyote legend is the former quarterback Chika Fujiwara. She might have only played for two seasons, but in those two seasons she was able to lead the Coyotes to an Ultimini, win the DSFL MVP, and win the DSFL quarterback of the year award all on the back of an incredible season. Nowadays, quarterbacks light up the stat sheet on everything, but not too long ago it was about avoiding numerous mistakes while working on the field with your team. Chika’s leadership during her time and the occasional pop in to help out new quarterbacks shows her continuing commitment to the team and is the reason that she would be perfect for the Kansas City stadium. Only a few seasons ago, she was inducted into the Kansas City Hall of Fame and her banner sits in the museum section of the stadium, but a statue for one of the most easily recognizable quarterbacks would add to the atmosphere.
