To be quite honest, I don’t know much about the history of the New York Silverbacks or any ISFL team for that matter. But going solely off of this team’s current roster, there’s a lot of candidates. Sam Howitzer ( @Trautner ), even though he is still pretty young in his career, he is still the Silverbacks leader in almost every passing category. Since quarterback is arguably the most important position, and Howitzer is arguably the best QB in New York’s short history, it would make sense to put him up there. Another choice would be Bob Roberts ( @zaynzk ). As a current GM for the silverbacks and one of the mainstays of New York’s defensive unit, it would make sense for Robert Roberts to get the nod as the statue outside of the Silverbacks’ stadium. My final consideration for a potential statue outside the stadium would be Captain Rogers ( @TeyonSchavari ). New York’s starting running back is both a captain in name and in title, a veteran with amazing leadership abilities, and stats to back up a statue being made. There are plenty more people that deserve a statue on this team, but these are the three I deem most likely. I hope to learn more about the team in the future so I can laugh at this post, but as of right now those would be my picks.
