Not meaning to toot my own horn here, but I think the clear answer is my player Dogwood Maple. Not only was I a second overall pick, but my contributions to the team, the league, and the general betterment of society have been notable from the moment I joined up. Last year, I was proud to be voted team captain and this year I’m again on the scouting team to make sure that our future is bright and we only bring the best of the best to the bright lights of New York City. Does it matter that I haven’t made the pro bowl, won any awards, or even played for an Ultimus? Of course not. Give me 10 more years and check back in on the trophy case. By the time I hang up my cleats and retire from Silverback fame, my name may be on the stadium. I think we’ll take home at least three Ultimus titles before I retire and hopefully that’s buoyed by a handful of pro bowls and maybe even safety of the year. I can promise you one thing. No silverback will work as hard as I’m about to work for this team, these fans, and this franchise. I’m going to give my all to this city and I fully expect to go down as one of the all-time greats to ever don our colors. Just give me some time and start sculpting the statue!
