These situations need to be solved in a delicate manner. It can be easy to show sides, and with all things like that, it can cause further division within the locker room. Now I’m not going to say who it was and what happened exactly because that really isn’t my place, but because this happened, I need to make sure both parties aren’t going to make this a big deal and it needs to be solved as soon as possible. I spoke with Party A and it was revealed that he heard Party B talk mad crap about them and that they weren’t pulling their weight. I then talked with Party B and asked if that was true, Party B confirmed that he did say that, but it was more to hype them up and get a chip on their shoulder, but he didn’t mean to make it affect Party A so harshly. After talking with both sides about it, it was clear that Party B should have just cleared the air with Party A, but also that Party A should have also reached out to Party B if it escalated that bad for him. Once I figured it out, I both sat them down and discussed with them that they should be building each other up and realize the competitive side sometimes gets the best of us, but not to let pride affect the relationships of other teammates. They both agreed and it was solved in the best possible manner.
