(S29) PT 5 - Arguements

Big Slammu was named as the Defensive Captain for the Yellowknife Wraiths for the S29 season. While this is a great honor, it also has some pretty unfun duties like the fact that he was used as the drive force behind reconciling players after disagreements. As we all know, football teams are a group of alpha-type men vying for dominance and glory and it’s very hard to stop things from getting out of hand when conflict begins. The Wraiths had an unusual amount of fights break out during training camp and Big Slammu, instead of fanning the flames, decided to stoke the flames. Big Slammu is a hot blooded half shark half man and he loves a good fight. Big Slammu’s policy seems to be let them duke it out, and the loser apologizes for challenging the other teammate. Unfortunately this is not an effective way of forming team unity and it bled onto to the football field. There were way too many defensive performances that were putrid this year from the Wraiths due to teammates refusing to cooperate. Ultimately, it was probably a big factor why the Wraiths have missed the playoffs yet again. No one expects Big Slammu to be put into a leadership position for this team again.
