Since it is a tough season for the Portland Pythons, arguments and fights break out on the daily in practice or post game locker room talks. So very often peace has to be restored and cohesion has to be maintained otherwise the team will shift downward. Since Panda McKyle is one of the captains of the team and quarterback , it is a part of his responsibility. ZEagle, the general manager, asked him to keep the peace, with making sure that players are heard.. My approach would be as follows: Allow teammates to “fight it out”, let them argue, yell at each other because it creates a sense of teammates caring about the team. Then I’ll talk to the two individuals in question. Let them calm down and talk to each other to make sure nothing is personal. Football is a sport of passion and every player should show that passion. Lastly, I would call a team meeting and let everyone know that the two players are cool and it is just a passion of the game. I would ask my co-captain Forty-Two, to help me out with this technique. I feel like this will help players express their frustrations and keep the team together, which is super important.
