Among the many places asking for a workshop, one stood out. There was a plan for one in Japan, and Hououin Kyouma jumped on the opportunity to return to his home for a bit to help out. With permission from the head office, Kyouma made the trip back to his hometown of Akihabara and met with his former college coaches to teach the incoming classes.
Kyouma had prepared drills that he had to do during his time in Norfolk to prepare the college athletes for what it would be like to play on a professional team. He also showed game film from the Ultimus and pointed out flaws made by both the Silverbacks and the Fire Salamanders. Each day was roughly similar, with two hours of film study followed by a two to three hour practice. At the end of the week, Kyouma joined the college students to partake in scrimmages. Each and every day they had a wrap up where Kyouma would point out big mistakes made during the drills.
When Japanese media approached Kyouma about the experience, he was ecstatic. "[The] opportunity for me to come and help a new generation of Japanese athletes is an honor. I hope some of [them] are able to come and play alongside or against me in the American league someday! It will be a very exciting time."
