With the upcoming World Football Championships, it’s important to help grow the game internationally for a good competition. As he oldest international team in the league, Yellowknife felt this hit especially close to home and so were thrilled when the opportunities for a European tour to help improve the American football ability of teams over there came up. As some of the dates overlapped, many players were sent to different location. The first one was Jay Cue Jr. visiting his home lands of Portugal. His training camp involved stories from his father about how to not make the playoffs and some of his own experience on how to fumble the football in the most efficient manner. He did provide plenty of insight into the offensive side of the game and inspired a lot of kids to give the sport a go.
In another return to home, Patrik Money visited Ireland and took a workshop for the local gaelic football team. While he never played the sport growing up, he knew they were all mad to play the sport and so would fit into football well. The course mainly consisted of hitting people, one of Money’s favourite parts of the game, and drinking.
Uber was sent to Germany but couldn’t board his plane as his head wouldn’t fit though the doorway so he was instead replaced by fellow CB, Dan Foster. The sport had been getting bigger in Germany since the arrival of the Berlin Fire Salamanders but Foster provided a great overview of the mental side of the game still.
