Now that football has an international appeal, Bender devised a scheme to help kids in Mexico become more involved in the game.... and make some money in the process. He flew down to Tijuana and founded the Bender Football Workshop. He would teach the kids of Mexico the skills needed to make football a living. I mean make footballs for a living. He then travelled to the schools around the city, advertising his workshop as the place to be if you want to make football a career choice. Being an up and coming ISFL star, Bender's name carried weight and all of Tijuana's best players flocked to his workshop. He charged them to attend and then assigned each of them a job that would build skills relvent to the position they play on the field. For example, WRs cured the leather so they would become one with the ball. QBs sewed the laces on to help with focus. Kickers had their money taken and then kicked out of the workshop. Bender convinced the kids that by working together to create a finished product, they would be able to play as a cohesive unit. After one week of running the workshop, Bender made 500k, enough money to buy 3 TPE.
