During the offseason, Brazil called the Philadelphia Liberty about football. They kept mentioning kicking, and decided to send their kicker, Jake Fencik to Brazil to help out over there. When he got off the plane, he quickly realized that this was not the kind football he had in mind. A high school had called the Philadelphia Liberty to help out their soccer team. Fencik struggled heavily on the first day of his 2 week 'vacation', unable to help the kids with much. Throughout the first week, Fencik did as much as he could to learn about soccer. As the week went on, Fencik was able to provide better help to the students. Still not very good at soccer, most of Fencik's time during the second week was spent giving encouragement. On the final day of the workshop, Fencik did something different, a long distance goal contest. He had no idea what he was doing, but the kids seemed to enjoy it. At the end of the second week, it was time for Fencik to head back home. Was the high school team better at soccer? Maybe. Was Fencik still confused as to how this happened? Most certainly. When Fencik got back to the Liberty facility, he went to the front office to explain what happened.
