Melvin often thinks back to how different his life would have been if he hadn't murdered his dear friend all these seasons ago. Daria only ever wanted to be a kicker. If he hadn't murdered her, then the odds are that while she would have been picked up by a team in the S24 draft, she would have been traded to one of the expansion teams, most likely New York, to have been their young kicker for many, many seasons. Would they still have won an Ultimus if she was kicking, compared to Dougie Smalls? Nobody knows for sure, but she would have an entirely different group of friends. Would Adelie de Pengu have asked to be protected in the expansion draft? Would he have gone with Daria to New York? Would Bjorn have gone there with Lady Tesla Ironside as well? There are quite a few pieces that would be different on Colorado if it were not for the death of Daria Guava-Fresca and the strength of Melvin Murder-Moose to be a linebacker, instead of being a kicker. Would New York still have traded for Keʻokeʻo Kāne-Maikaʻi and Colt Mendoza? How would their drafts have changed if they had different voices in the war room? GM changes? There are a lot of pieces that could have been different, if Daria hadn't been murdered. But she was, and Yeti is life.
