LeBong was famously recruited off of his cruise ship home by a high school football coach that witnessed him nearly drown a boy four years older than him in the main deck pool. Had LeBong not made the choice to physically attack this boy that teased him for living on the cruise ship, he would almost certainly not be in his position today with the New Orleans Second Line. It is one of those serendipitous moments in life where a small, violent choice starts your path down to greater success in a violent sport. Thankfully, LeBong was never taught any anger management skills or how to cope with his disturbing childhood being brought up on a cruise ship with no friends. Had LeBong not been scouted by that New Orleans area high school coach, to go on to dominate the local football scene and receive a full scholarship to LSU, he probably would be working a low end manual labor job or possibly even be in prison for taking things too far in a violent outburst. His size, speed, and strength would have not have been put to the good use it is as the big butt anchor of the D Line in NOLA. He thinks back to this fateful moment often now that he is a vet in the league and has overcome many of his demons, but can still use his anger to fuel him to greatness on game day.
