What a tough question. I think that there is definitely at least one major event that pointed Dee Walt in the direction of football. He was in college living with his roommate. On this day they were playing Overcooked, screaming at each other, but having fun. That’s when they realized something was wrong with their house. They had a water leak in their pipes somewhere. They traced the leak to a pipe in the yard. They asked around to see how much it would cost to fix, and it was going to be at least a few thousand dollars - money that neither one of them had access to. They did the only thing they could do - they started digging. They dug all day, all afternoon, all evening, and finally they dug down to the pipe. They realized they had no idea how to fix the pipe. That’s when a man named Barney Stinson drove by and saw them. He got out of his Rolls Royce and fixed the pipe for them, requesting that they don’t give him any form of compensation. This man turned out to be an ISFL GM who would one day be the GM of the Berlin Fire Salamanders. He became a mentor for Dee Walt, which increased Walt’s interest in football more and more over the years. Unfortunately Dee Walt landed with a different ISFL team. He desperately wants to go play for Barney, but he is being held hostage by the Chicago Butchers. If he hadn’t met Barney on that fateful day, he’d probably still be in a 6 foot hole in his yard, trying to figure out how to fix a pipe. #FreeWalt
