Zach Crossley had one true love besides football: Track and Field. Crossley originally went to University of Tennessee at Martin to pursue his interests in the 800 meters. Crossley was never fast enough to run below that distance, but it was a speed that fit his quickness and endurance. If football had not worked out for the wide receiver, he would have pursued his career in track and field and made an attempt to make the US team in the 4x800 meter relay. Being realistic, Crossley never was a good enough runner to qualify for the Olympic team in the open 800 but, making the Olympic trials was in the realm of possibilities. From there, Crossley just had to finish in 8th place to be a member of the relay team. Representing his country would have been the greatest honor for Crossley. After his time running was over, Crossley would have tried to return to his home of Philadelphia and teach mathematics and coach track and field at a local high school. Crossley loves giving back to the community and working with young adults so this would have been a perfect career for him. In fact, once his time in the ISFL is over, Zach will return to Philadelphia and work with young track athletes as he returns to the true passion in his life.
