If Jake Fencik never got into the ISFL, there are a few choices for where he would be right now, but I believe two of them are the most likely outcomes. Having achieved challenger in league of legends in high school, Fencik would likely be playing competitive league of legends, or streaming. In the competitive route, Fencik would be one of the best players from his region, North America. That being said, the region as a whole would still not improve for various reasons. While winning almost everything in his home region, Fencik would win nothing internationally. China and Korea still have a stranglehold on every international event. Eventually he would leave and be the first North America player to play in Korea, where he would finally find success internationally. Eventually he would either get burned out and retire, or go out on top after winning worlds. The other path of being a streamer is one where Fencik starts out small, but is able to attract a loyal fanbase due to his high elo content. His main source of income in this path is twitch donations, until he gets big enough to earn sponsorships. Those are the most likely futures for Fencik if he never got into the ISFL.
