Agent Tesla: We are seven weeks into the season and you are second among listed defensive tackles in tackles Magnus! Also tied for fourth in sacks which might be good enough to squeak onto the awards ballot.
Magnus Rikiya: Just get to the bad part please.
Agent Tesla: Unfortunately your tackles for loss are essentially nonexistent at one as the leader at your position has four. Additionally while the leader among defensive tackles only has one forced fumble and one fumble recovery; the fact that you have none despite supposedly being so competitive is concerning.
Magnus Rikiya: That seems like a valid concern to me. Do you have any tips for me on how to fix it though?
Agent Tesla: Now that is the question isn't it Magnus! Unfortunately I do not really have a good angle to help with this as even looking over the tape of other defensive tackles it seems like the overall play of interior offensive line has improved league wide. You are already right up against the limit of the talents that the league allows, and so I believe the solution is to tackle it from another angle.
Magnus Rikiya: What angle would that be?
Agent Tesla: An excellent question! The key is to lower expectations for you Magnus. While you are only second among defensive tackles as a whole in tackles; you are first among nose tackle archetype defensive tackles. Honestly given your archetype the fancy stats are never what we expected out of you, and so the fact that you are so high in one stat despite being a nose tackle and are leading that archetype is good enough.
Magnus Rikiya: I don't think that is what they meant with this task Tesla. Are you sure that is the angle we want to take?
Agent Tesla: Yeah! End of the day the sim is going to do what the sim wants to do regardless of how much or how little effort I put into making you better Magnus. I have done everything in my power to bring your talents to the absolute top available level, and from here I can hope the back half of the season goes well to get you stats. However my honest concern is wins and I would much rather hope the Yeti manage to make it into the playoffs than that you get another personal award. Wouldn't you agree?
Magnus Rikiya: Yes I would. I would much rather the team do well than that I do well personally. So how about that be our area of focus? My stats mean nothing, but if we can get more in the wins column that is the stat we want to improve.
Agent Tesla: The key to that improvement is just some subtle strategic alternatives that we have to keep private, but sounds like we have this task covered. Until next time!
Magnus Rikiya; Goodbye everybody.
