Sakeem Webb has been playing pretty well to begin this season and could be in the running for Defense Rookie of the Year in the DSFL. But one part of his game he needs to step up is his interception numbers. He's been fantastic on the pass defense part of his game, consistently getting his hand in on many pass attempts, but he has only come down with two interceptions in that time. There have been copious chances to pick off passes for the Birddogs this season, but Sakeem hasn't done as well as he would have hoped. One of the best choices for Sakeem would be working on his hands. He's already a blazing fast corner for his current age, but his hands leave a lot left to be desired. So I believe that there will be rigorous training sessions this offseason with many of the top ISFL receivers and defensive backs. With these people in place to help Webb figure out how to be more of a ballhawk, I believe in his sophomore season he will lead the DSFL in interceptions. Speed will be a second focus to continue growing on Sakeem as it's one of his best attributes. But nothing will be as useful as getting Sakeem's hands to the level of the best corners in the game.
