Thinking about success in this league, the obvious answer is wins and championships. However, despite all planning that you can do, the sim is still a random number generator, and therefore it can choose to make you win, or lose, just by chance. Therefore, for me, the more important metric of success is the fun that my players and team have outside of the sim and the field. In Colorado, we pride ourselves on all of the pieces that we do that are outside of the sims and the league itself. I define league success as having a team that has become as close as a family, sharing in weddings, engagements, babies and more together. Our success is found in the fact that we play games together, support one another in our sim lives and real lives at times, and that we want to spend time together. Frequently you'll hear the ping of League? Or that time we were all obsessed with Cyberpunk (and then disappointed with it), and CK3. The success that we feel as a team is felt in book recommendations, geeking out over musicals, and music, and tv shows or movies together (or being absolutely critical of them). It's found in our food wars and civil wars where the team is utterly divided, only to realize that someone wanted to catch some pokemon. We name them after one another, we are there for one another, and that friendship and the relationships that are created in Colorado are how I define success. Success is knowing that the locker room is family, and Colorado is home.
