Q 12. Choose a team or player to write about that isn’t your own. What did they do well in the last season? Have they shown any drastic improvements from previous years? What could they do better?
A. When I read this question, I immediately thought of two teams. The first being the Baltimore Hawks. This season was a big step forward for them, even though they finished the season last place in the NSFC. I think the QB play with new addition Jaroppolo Jr. really took them to the next level, and I'm extremely excited to see how much money I can make off them on season wins next year. The other team I thought of is the complete opposite of Baltimore, and has been for the last few seasons. I am of course talking about the Arizona Outlaws. What has been so intriguing about Arizona is their consistent success. Since season 24, they have never placed lower than 2nd in the ASFC. In that same timespan, they only missed the playoffs once (season 26). I believe we are in the middle of a run not unlike the classic Orange County teams. The key difference being that those Otters teams won Ultimus titles, where this currently successful Outlaw run has only garnered 2 playoff wins and 0 Ultimus appearances. This year, the Outlaws looked more than dominant in the regular season, and if the sim didn't sim, I think we would have seen the first undefeated team in ISFL history. We have yet to see them in the playoffs this season, where a rematch with the defending champs await. I don't know what the problem is, and why the sim has seemed to have it out against the best performing regular season team in recent memory. This season feels different though. I don't know if anybody else is such an index hound like I am, but I do have a few stats that show just how dominant Arizona has been this season. They are first in the league in points scored, points against, total offensive yards, rushing yards, and rush defense. They are first in the conference in passing yards (4th in the league), and first in the conference in defensive yards allowed (2nd in the league. Out of the 8 categories available on the team page in the index, the Outlaws lead the ASFC in 7, and the entire ISFL in 5. The only negative mark on their record is their middle of the pack pass defense, which is clearly still serviceable. They couldn't have gotten to those team numbers without some great individual performances. QB Charlemagne Cortez leads the league in passer rating (113.1) and threw for the 4th highest yards (4872) on the 2nd lowest amount of attempts (549). He was helped by his supporting cast, including Taro Raimon and Darren Pama both catching 14 touchdowns. On the defensive side, star cornerback Rich Triplet lead the league in passes defended with 39, and DT Pete Miller hit double digits TFL, one of 2 players to do that this season. You can't talk about this team without talking about the absolute KOTY in Cade York. I am excited to see if the Outlaws make it past the Silverbacks and finally see their potential realized as Ultimus champions.

28. Choose one existing award. Tell us why you think a certain player should win that award this season. Stats, or anything else possible should be used to support your case.
A. No player this year should come close to KOTY other than Cade York of the Arizona Outlaws. He accounted for 139 points scored, the second highest out of all kickers (Second to Jacob Smalls from Sarasota with 146). He absolutely benefitted from the extremely potent Arizona Offense, which allowed him to lead the league in point-afters attempted. He attempted 67 PAT's, with the second closest being 50 (also Jacob Smalls). Oh, did I mention he also made 100% of the extra points he attempted? Cause he did. In total, he kicked the ball through the uprights on 96.8% of the times he kicked the ball at all this season, making 100% of his extra points and 88.9% of his field goal attempts. Of the 3 kicks he missed all season, none of them were under 36 yards. The most automatic weapon we've seen at kicker in a while has given the Outlaws a truly gluttonous amount of dangerous players. I think we'll see the most Outlaws in awards for this season, including Triplet for CBOTY, Pama for WROTY, and Cortez for QBOTY and MVP. But on most of those I can see arguments for other players. Not KOTY. I'll be the first to congratulate Cade York for winning the s30 Kicker Of The Year.

31. The World Football Association was established last season and is currently playing out for the first time. What do you think about the WFC as a whole and how it has been shaping out. Do you think it will end up a success?
A. I think the WFC is a fantastic idea, and I think I have made it very clear that it's my dream to lead a team of my own to the WFC championships one day. I have yet to see a game played, or see any news about teams playing, but I am extremely excited. Bayley did a phenomenal job at thinking about all of the possibilities and I would bet money that there was a ton of prep that went into this before we knew about it. Now, the question of whether or not this will be successful is a different story. It depends on how you measure success, and I think it kind of follows my definition of success for the ISFL. The ISFL is successful because it has continually grown larger and retained interest. The success of the WFC, in my eyes, will be decided once it's officially over. How long did it last, what caused it to end. How many people strived to be great WFC players/teams/leaders, and how long did it take for that to happen. I think it is a phenomenal idea, and it has given me something in the league that I want to make my own, and make it great. So, well done Bayley and HO for introducing an new element into the league 30 seasons in, especially one that doesn't drag. I can't wait to see it play out.
