Task 22 - Ultimus Half-Time - 239 Words
I, Tomage McGullager have been put in charge of the half time entertainment for the ultimus this year. Why they picked a random player from the Austin Copperheads to be in charge of the half time entertainment I do not know, but alas, here I am. There is a very easy thought process that went behind the half time entertainment that I have selected for the ultimus. If you go back to the beginning of true competitive football, high school football, there are a couple different components that go into what makes a high school football game a high school football game. Obvious you need a high school football team, you need some passionate fans which the ultimus will definitely have, you need your cheerleaders which both teams I would imagine will bring the cheerleaders from each of their respective teams, and you have the marching band playing in the stands and serenading the crowd at half time with a a wonderfully put together and mildly complex show that they spent hour upon hours perfecting. Well, the ultimus needs its marching band half time show and not just any marching band will do. This is the pinnacle football performance, so you need the best of the best to play half time. I have arranged a deal with Drum Corps International (Marching Music's Major League) to have their World Class winning corps perform their show at the ultimus's half time.

Task 11 - Biggest Rival - 599 words
I am here today to talk about the biggest rival that the Austin Copperheads have here in the ISFL. There are three main candidates for this title and I am going to break each one down and explain why I think they are or are not the biggest rival that the Austin Copperheads have. The first team we have to look at is the expansion counterpart to the Austin Copperheads, the Chicago Butchers. The Chicago Butchers and the Austin Copperheads have now been around for over half of the league's existence so both teams have had times of success and times of rebuild. The Austin Copperheads however have found more success that the Chicago Butchers having actually won the ultimus bowl once, unlike the Chicago Butcher who have never won an ultimus bowl. On top of just winning the ultimus bowl, the Austin Copperheads have three different ultimus bowl appearances to the Chicago Butchers' zero ultimus bowl appearances. Looking at a deeper dive at the historical success between the two teams, in the 15 seasons that both teams have been in existence, the Austin Copperheads have had a better record than the Chicago Butchers 9 times, the Chicago Butchers have had a better record than the Austin Copperheads 5 times, and the Austin Copperheads and Chicago Butchers have had the same record once. The Austin Copperheads have had 5 different winning seasons compared to the Chicago Butchers 4 winning seasons. These teams are also in different conferences meaning that they do not play each other every season. While Chicago will always be a top rival for the Copperheads, right now I do not believe that they are the biggest rival for the Copperheads. This brings us to the Arizona Outlaws. Arizona has seen a lot more success than the Copperheads and they have an early league dynasty to thank for that. If you look at just the time that Austin has been in the league, season 16 and on, both the Austin Copperheads and the Arizona Outlaws have both won the ultimus bowl once, though the Austin Copperheads lead the Arizona Outlaws in ultimus bowl appearances three to one. That said, the Outlaws have had the better season record over the Copperheads 9 times to the copperheads 3 times of holding the better record, leaving 3 shared records between the two. This division rival who seems to keep getting the best of the Copperheads is definitely a top rival of the team but I feel this rivalry may be one sided and therefore (among other reasons) is not the top rivalry. This brings us to the New York Silverbacks. The Silverbacks joined the league for season 25 and have, as of last season, tied the copperheads in total ultimus bowl wins. The Austin Copperheads have not had an ultimus bowl victory since the New York Silverbacks joined the league but both teams have had an ultimus bowl appearance. New York's win also ties Austin's record for fastest expansion team to win a championship. In their 6 short seasons, they have bested the Copperheads in their season record 4 of those years and tied them once. Beyond their shared expansion championship record, and being 2 of the 3 teams to win an ultimus bowl that have not been around since season 2. There has been some tension between Austin and New York players. There seems to be that extra motivation to beat New York. Having played for both organizations, I can say both are great places to play, but New York is definitely the biggest rival of the Austin Copperheads.
