Tell us about your draft class. Is there anything that makes it special in comparison to other classes? Where did your fellow draftees land, how are they doing? Did anyone turn out to be an unexpected steal of that draft based on what you know today? Do you think anyone in your draft class will become a hall of famer? If you’re new to the league, how do you think your class will do? Where do you think people will get drafted to?
Once again I get to revisit the famous Season Twenty Five draft class. Still one of the best ones ever. The class is finally the leader in TPE as we have not hit regression just yet. One or two more seasons to dominate before we start falling in TPE and usefulness. Are there any of us that could break records? I know we have at least a couple of retiring members of the class. I for one am not even close to retiring.
So, first off, how many quarter backs do we even have in this draft class? Well, since you asked, we have a grand total of One quarter back, Jackie Daytona, who is sitting on (most likely after the update) over 1300 TPE. I guess there just wasn't very many quarter back creates who stayed at that position or lasted through out.
On to running backs, how many do we still have? We have nine running backs listed as being on a team currently. If we put them into tiers for earning, the is one at the top of the list, Goat Tank. With somewhere around 1350 TPE, he is miles ahead of anyone else at his position. Tier two has a decent number of ok earners with three running backs over 700 TPE, Rotchburns leading the way, Buster Bawls next up and finishing this tier is Anders with 709ish TPE. Tier three drops down to below 700 but above 450 TPE, with Ben Alexander Arnold leading the way with 640ish, followed by Yaki and Vermillion both of which are right around 600 TPE and the last of this tier Dexter Jackson with barely above 450 TPE. Granted a few of those are fullbacks which realistically don't need as much TPE to be effective anyways. And then we have the barely earned at any point guys, Bronko Mills is the only one of this tier to actually be listed as being on a team. He sits a little above 300 TPE.
Wide receivers are next up, with a grand total of six wide outs still listed at the same position. Five of those I would slot into tier one as being active and good earners, all above 1,000 TPE. Darren Pama leads the way with over 1320 TPE, second behind him is Skiuuup with 1250ish TPE, third up is Mark Walker with 1220ish TPE, fourth up is Zach Crossley with 1150ish TPE and last of the tier one guys is Killian Chambers with 1060ish TPE. The only wide out below 1000 TPE is Owen Holloway with 824 TPE. Overall the wide receivers who lasted this long are all good earners ready to try and take over their receiving corps finally for some of us. We shall see what these guys bring to the table this season.
On to tight ends. Well there is exactly one tight end left from the season twenty five draft class. Adam C Spencer and he is rocking right around 1k TPE. All of the other tight ends from this class ended up switching positions to something else. He is the lone survivor.
On to Offensive Line. Easily the biggest position so far with an astounding thirteen still alive. Granted not all of those are doing well with their earning, but still thirteen is a good number. At the top we have Bob Roberts and Adam Mellott, both sitting around 1250 TPE and leading the class by a good bit overall. Next up we have Marlon Alexander, the only other offensive lineman over 1k TPE. After that they drop fairly quickly in TPE, but luckily it is a position where you don't need a ton of TPE to be effective. Next up are Felix and Connor, both in the 900 TPE range, followed closely by Marc Hamel at 820ish TPE, who is followed closely by Ananda barely below. Next up around 700 TPE is Brent and Harley. The next four are 450ish and below offensive linemen who have given up on making any TPE, but they are still on a team and being used.
Next up we have defensive ends, of which there are currently seven. Two of the them stand well above the rest, Toblerone and Crowder are both in the 1340ish TPE range. Next up is Jaxon Waxon and Tex Wrecks in the 1200 and 1150 TPE ranges. Those four are the best of the bunch as far as earning goes. Sanzo is the lone remaining defensive end over 1k TPE. Followed by Slayer in the 770 range.
Now up is the defensive tackles, of which there is only four total. One has out earned the rest by a good amount, Chuck Roth sitting over 1300 TPE at the moment. Followed by Honky Tonk Haywood in the 1170 range, followed distantly by Dimbi and Isaac in the 700 range of TPE.
Linebackers are next up, with a grand total of seven of them still left.
So what I really learned from this exercise is that no matter how good your draft class looks on paper, when you revisit it later on, many seasons later. It will never be as good as you remember it being when it happened. At this point, we are down a lot of players from this draft and in the coming seasons the numbers will only go down. The good news it, we have some solid draft members from this class still going strong. We have multiple people who are at least in line to break franchise records, or at least become franchise legends if not league legends. But, I just remember how epic our class was from the beginning. We had so many great users with so much potential. While we lost a lot of players, as all draft classes are going to have, we also have a developed a lot of well known league wide guys. We have multiple GMs across multiple teams in both the ISFL and the DSFL. Plus we have quite a few guys helping out with league jobs across all the different areas of the league. In the end, it is still a historic class. One of the best, hands down.
