The most memorable moment for me was getting traded. I got traded from Sarasota to Yellowknife. That move has been a true career-changing moment as I have won few championships, and I have reached a level that I did not think was possible when I was still a young player in Sarasota. I was behind a lot of talent in Sarasota back then, so that is the reason why I speak so highly about the trade. I got into a bigger role in Yellowknife, which helps automatically as I get to play and practice against the best of the best, and the teams we've had here have been great, championship level in multiple years.
On a personal level, the move from Sarasota to Yellowknife meant moving to a place that I know nothing about. It took me multiple months before I felt like the Yellowknife is home. Important to remember that I was not a quality player right away when I joined Yellowknife. I always had the fear of getting traded again at the back of my head, but months went by, the new season started, I was still in Yellowknife. Eventually, the place felt like home, and I'm still here. The growth as a player has been noticeable, but I have grown as a human a lot during these years.
