I mean, he kind of did, but you can't really just keep everyone's stats the same for an entire season and call it an accurate representation of events. If we truly wanted to see how it would go, we would have to implement the weekly updates as well. I know that's arguably more time or effort than it's worth, but to use an inaccurate model of the league and it's changes as a representation of a differently simmed season is intellectually dishonest.

I understand that there is no good answer here, just wanted to weigh in.

He did it using the start of season attributes for everyone and including Gibson's build, so really it would be the most impactful that Gibson could be because everyone else didn't get improved.
