It's unreal that I have been around for eight of the ten seasons. I never saw myself lasting for over a year when I first joined. I'd have to say I did join at the weirdest time. I am a season 23 which means I am squeezed between two of the most impactful draft classes of recent history and often forgotten about. My main goal is to be one of the last premiere players of my draft class to retire. I dobb have to think that I was fortunate to come in when I did otherwise I probably would not have lasted long with such stiff competition.
The first part of my career involved being around most of the OG London Royals. Several left after one year but I got to play with most of them and helped to establish the culture that the Royals are known for. In my first year, we lost the Ultimini after sneaking into the playoffs and upsetting Minnesota. We attracted many future great users like Z-Whiz, Crunk, Swanty, ABH, Katarn, Crow, Platonocat, Slate, Magluibylet, and so many more positive active players. Of course, I went up and they decided to win the first of many Ultimus trophies without me.
My ISFL tenure was shaky at best, I got drafted to Baltimore but only spent one season there because we had another expansion and all of our GM's moved to take over new teams. I had just won rookie of the year, the team was set up to be solid, and it was all gone after one season. I entered free agency(I'll admit, I wanted to eventually get to Arizona and playfully troll Zamir when my player outproduced him just cause of how much I saw him tweak everyone else, then he went off the rails, almost as bad as Kya being fired or the Bachelorrette).
Yeah, a lot of stuff happened, but we were very inconsistent in Austin which hurt my drive to be an active member in the community. Even after the Ultimus run, we had a down season after everyone predicted us as ASFC champs. I decided to leave and go to New York with the hope of restoring the drive and possibly recreating hoping to have a much more stable second career.
