It's interesting... the awards. And the most interesting award is the one that I myself am the easiest selection for. 4 seasons ago I did something only 5 other kickers in the league have ever done... a perfect kicking season. I was a near-unanimous winner. It was my first kicker of the year award and I thought it couldn't get better than that, yet as the years went on, the Sailfish won 2 Ultimus awards, I was nominated for both kicker of the year and punter of the year, but the awards never went my way after that perfect season. I was shocked. I was pretty much an equal pick for that award so it should have been a tie at least, but nope; it was given to another worthy kicker/punter. I got worse and worse and I knew I was at the twilight of my career. I didn't know if I should retire or if I should switch teams but I said, "what the heck! One more year can't hurt", and it certainly did not.

I became the first kicker to ever kick two perfect seasons. I kicked the same amount of field goals as the previous perfect season, and I kicked even more extra points. If there is an easy pick for an award this year, look right at me.
