For me the answer to who is most improved in Season 2 is pretty straightforward. Tim Pest, the offensive linemen for your local Arizona Outlaws, has taken MASSIVE strides in Season 2. If you look at his Season 1 numbers they're not terrible by any stretch, 42 pancakes was good enough to get him 10th in the league and convinced the Outlaws he was worthy of a first round selection. And boy, did he live up to that. With 3 games left to play Pest has exactly matched his 42 pancakes already but he's dramatically reduced his sacks allowed count from twelve to zip, zero, zilch. He's got 12 more pancakes than the next guy who has allowed zero sacks (a very impressive output still for a TE, Ricky Maddox). Pest is a quiet guy, but he's also a glue guy in the locker room. Much like a classic lineman, he doesn't spend his time writing press releases or talking smack in the paper -- instead he humbly makes his graphics every week and works his ass off in training.
Pest has anchored the line for the first place Outlaws and if he can keep his sackless streak going through the regular season, and dare I say playoffs, he'll be undoubtedly the best lineman in the entire league. No matter what unfolds one thing is certain: Pest was a homerun pick in Round 1.
