Describe your player and/or team’s journey through this latest season. What were the highlights? What were the lower points? What might you have done differently? What are your expectations for next season?
For Rodka Raskolnikov the pressure was finally on. After his rookie year, being shielded from the stiff competition as he was behind both Mason Malone and Sharpei Jr. Even as a 4th option as Huntsman was another favorite target, Raskolnikov impressed with 51 catches for 775 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns. With Greyducks losing many key pieces to call ups the time to step up was now. “I know I can succeed, I’ve put in a lot of hours training and learning from last year's success. It helped having such great players around me to teach me. Now I’m the one to lead by example. It didn’t hurt winning the ulti-mini as well.”. For the off-season Rodka would train religiously and get his mental work in the right track. As the time came for the new season and a rookie QB to sling, many threw away the notion that the Grey Ducks would be in contention. Many of the writers did not even have Raskolnikov as a consistent pass threat. “I kind of took offense obviously, I know I’m good so it was a bit of a slap in the face. Just because the team had better players in front of me in my first year doesn’t mean I couldn’t do what others could. For the most part I felt I was being overlooked because of how good the team was.”. For Raskolnikov the dominant season was just starting. He would finish with 74 catches for 1371 yards and 13 touchdowns which was a tie for the most receiving touchdowns in the league. The 74 catches were one of the fewest for a top 10 receiver. There were some lows, but it was mainly team lows. “We had some good pieces left, but many new young rookies came in to try to fill the huge gaps that the veterans had left. Me and Malone tried to make it a little easier for Worthington III but it was a brand new offense for him. He played fantastic for a rookie”. “There isn’t much I could have done differently. I think I went out there and played my hardest and kept the team in positions to help win. Obviously the team was coming off of back to back championships but with the overhaul finishing top of the division was nice. Moving forward I’m just trying to improve bit by bit, until I’m called up and get to help the big team out. Next season I’m going to be even better. Plus the rookies are going to improve as well”.
Task 15
Ahh Disneyland, the annual celebration of the MVP being sent to Fun land to pretend to enjoy while having to do a media tour and shake a bunch of hands. For my money I would go with the player that made the biggest plays on the biggest stage. That being G. Fields. His defensive plays is what allowed Hahalua to win the Ultimus. Fields were all over the field, get it? Field on field. But anyway he was very distributive for the opposing offense. He would record 4 tackles, 5 pass deflections and 1 interception. Fields afterwards would go away from the field to the mouse field. Fields would have a great time overall going on the rides, meeting all the fans. He’s had hand injuries before, with all the interceptions in his career. But it was never like the hand cramping after signing all those merchandise. But the high of winning a championship, winning the MVP, going to Disneyland, when it ended, you could see the exhaustion on Fields face. While it was fun and great, he is only human. “We would like to congratulate G. Fields on a tremendous success this year and we expect more from many more years”.
26. Football is a game that has been going on for a while, loved by fans all over. But what if you were able to make some rule changes? Talk us through your new version of football, and what would be different and why?
Football. Foot. Feet. Ball. There has always been a bit of controversy in terms of why the sport is called what it is. When there was already a sport by the same name that… well used more of the feet. But now the time for bickering is over. Rule changes are coming and must be accepted. We need more feet. No more cleats. Only bare feet. The football is not going to be in the shape of an egg? But now it will be in the shape of a foot and will be exactly 1 foot long. There will no longer be points, but feetsies, so 1 Touchdown or Footdown is now 6 Feetsies. We’ll change the field goal to a foot goal, endzone to flavortown. You kind of get the idea. All of our teams will need to incorporate more feet in them. Yeti will now be called the Cold Feet. The Otters? Wet Fur Feet. We will be the driving force in rekindling the foot fetish all around the world. Adult sites will be littered with Foot fetishes and ISFL sims. Our ranks will grow, and expand. We will dominate as the new sport and gather mass following due to our hard working feet.
