From briefly looking over the stat sheets, it seems to be me that the most improved player would be tight end George Wright Jr of the Orange County Otters. Just looking at his stats from Season 1 compared to his stats in Season 2 so far, it seems very easy to see in my opinion:
(Stat Category Season 1 Season 2)
Receptions 51 79
Yards 336 504
Average Yards per Catch 6.6 6.4
Touchdowns 0 3
As you can see, George Wright Jr has improved in every single receiving category this year other than average yards per catch. The trade off, however, is more receptions, yards, and touchdowns. While his blocking stats have decreased slightly, George Wright Jr has established himself as a solid tight end and a contributing member of the Orange County Otters’ offense after having an extremely small role last year. While many of these stats can be attributed to the fact that he’s starting much more often or by scheme changes, you can’t really argue that he has not improved significantly from season 1 to season 2. While not flashy, and probably not even the “most” improved player, George Wright Jr’s improvement has been significantly significant.
