There are several things that you sign up for when you become an athlete. Number one of which is to be an athlete on the field, i.e do the job that you have been told to do by your coaches and do what you need to do to win games. Number two of which is to be an athlete off the field, as in being an active citizen, stay on the right side of the law, and don't let negative influences drag you down from doing what you have to do on the field. Number three of which is to be an athlete in the classroom, as in keeping your grades up and not ditching or being delinquent while in school hours. I'm not disappointed in what you have done, but I need you to understand that you are letting yourself down by not upholding the commitments that you have received over the course of your career. I know you have a bright future and that you have great things coming your way, but you need to understand that it isn't easy just shrugging off other aspects of life. You will not be good if you don't have good grades. You know better.
Now, I'd rather not have this conversation with you again, but if you need someone to tutor you, or get you back on the right foot, don't be afraid to let me know and I can get you in touch, or you can reach out to the school if you are able to seek assistance there. I wish you luck man, and remember this; we are rooting for you.
