The preseason and Week 1 are in the books. I knew it going into the draft, and I definitely knew it after the draft. The defending champs’ defense is awful. Until our defense can right the ship, the offense will have to carry the weight of the entire team on it’s shoulders. Don’t get me wrong, this offense is very capable of that. With Marciano at the helm, along with Stevens and yours truly catching passes, and Riggins running it down other team’s throats, one defensive stand is all it takes for the Birddogs to come away with some wins. As the season goes on and we can pick up some defense off of waivers, this team will be right back in the mix for a repeat.
It’s an exciting season for me, as I’m the WR1. I have a lot of expectations for myself, as I posted over 1400 yards as the WR2 last year. I’ve started off the season on a great pace, as I finished the preseason with about 500 yards and 3 TDS, along with over 120 yards and a TD in the season opener. Hoping to be in the Offensive Player of the Year race.
