It's been a bit of a rough start for Dante King and the Baltimore Hawks, who expected to take the leap into being a competitive team after several rebuilding seasons. With TPE totals that put it in the middle of the pack of the league in terms of both total and average earnings, it seemed a reasonable goal to approach a .500 or even maybe a winning season. Unfortunately, the sim had other plans After a hot 2-0 start with a dominant statement win against Orange County in week one and a close home victory over Sarasota the following week, the Hawks have dropped their last 5 games. While one game against Philadelphia was a blowout, three of those five losses have been incredibly close, last-minute affairs. The Butchers scored a go-ahead touchdown with 47 seconds left to win by 5, the Hawks led the Yeti 30-27 until a touchdown with 1:15 left, and the Fire Salamanders kicked a 57 yard field goal with 1:00 on the clock to break a 35-35 tie. Each of these games were coin flips that unfortunately broke the wrong way, so look for the Hawks to return to the mean when sim luck starts going their way.
