5. Not sure if I was that active by that time, but I certainly had a player then. I vaguely remember that moment, but that thread actually remains the most replied retirement thread in NSFL/ISFL history. So here it is: Las Vegas Legion mass exodus...or so we thought.
So full three years plus a week ago a guy named Keygan who was prolly GM...or co-gm, not sure tbh. He posted in the retirement thread that almost the whole Legion team will retire. This obviously came as a shock to many members, but even more of them were having a hard time to understand why this even was the case. The toxicity of the league was named as one of main reasons by some of more vocal members of the Legion. The most vocal members from the retrirement crew were Incite, Enigmatic (kinda) and Keygan himself. Also a non Legion member Beaver was trying to defend them kinda. Obviously this kind of move would ignite the shitstorm and the league didn't escape from that for sure. I'd say the most active anti-retirement guy was by then prominent member 77hawk. Pretty much sure most of arguments against that controversial move came from him. Also I remember Asipi was giving them a hard time as well. The obvious main argument against it was why fuck over the team and the co-gm Ben by retiring. While they just could go inactive if they didn't like the league so this team wouldn't be screwed at least. The talks went back n forth with no progress whatsoever.
Another issue from the anti retirement faction was that it was Keygan that orchesteated that retirement and he told the players to follow his lead. It was proven to be wrong kinda. Keygan was just another member who was thinking about the retirement, but apparently multiple Legion players were not pleased by this league already. I think even a discord screen was provided to back down this claim. It was brewing for weeks long and then they decided to ''have fun'' by making this thread. Since Keygan was the man who started this thread most of smoke came to him. Even after it was found out it was collective idea, 77hawk was still placing the most blame on the thread author.
However, not all players decided to stick with this decision. First, Waters decided to unretire shortly after this thread began. This info flew over the members heads. But then another popular member, Evok did the same and that was way more of a big deal. Some members were even jokingly named this as the ''top anime betrayal'' (aka from another meme heh). Though if I understood correctly, she was one of members who started these talks about the toxic league etc.
When the dust cleared it was apparent that despite of backing down from some members; couple of Legion guys still stuck to their decision and decied to cut ties with this league. Like JR95 - he only showed in that thread once to confirm that the toxicity of the league is the main reason why he will be gone. But how about the other members?
Keygan - I see he was coming back with another player, but right now he is inactive;
Incite - the same as Keygan. He managed to hit 600 TPE with his latest player, but he is also inactive;
Enigmatic - I never saw her unretire Carter, but iirc he was still unretired. I remember her being in Philly in S11 or so as I was drafted there with my recreate. Just finished her third player which appears to be last. Interesting fact - she isn't considering to recreate cause I assume of the league itself. again I guess?;
Gooney - not even sure if he ever unretired or not. Anyways as of now, he is inactive too;
I assume there were another members who weren't even mentioned in that thread and I don't even remember now were they unretired or they also decided to leave. Anyways, this was one of the first huge NSFL scandals alongside with Noble and Er multis.
