McGregor who's experience include a professional MMA record of 21-3 and has been training since the age of 18 is a heavy favorite in the matchup. McGregor is the current holder of the UFC Lightweight Championship and former holder of the UFC Featherweight Championship.
Lavelle who currently is in his the 2nd year of his NSFL career has limited experience in any form of fighting. Lavelle holds an unofficial MMA record of 2 wins - 1 draw and 0 losses. Citing all three of his bouts have occurred outside of a nightclub in County Sligo during his college years. Lavelle claims both wins were against smaller opponents and the use of alcohol may have been a factor in the fights.
