Bork Björnsson typically isn't actually super active as far as charities go, preferring to make his donations in secret from the public eye. This is partly because Bork does not actually like being in the spotlight, and partly because Bork believes that true service and charity should be made without any kind of ulterior motive ... including good publicity.
This exception to this for Bork is his environmentalism efforts. Ever since joining the league, Bork has tried to bring attention to environmental efforts, holding events and raising money for different environmental organizations.
Bork's focus since coming to the Yellowknife Wraiths has actually been on cleaning up the oceans and water supplies. Much of Yellowknife's local economy is based on fishing, and Bork's homeland of Iceland has a very strong fishing industry. It was exposure to people within these industries that helped Bork see the need for cleaning up our oceans and the importance of effective environmentalism.
This focus has led to many of Bork's teammates labeling him as a "hippie" (in good fun of course). Bork doesn't really mind, as many of his efforts have been pretty successful, and many in the Yellowknife community are glad that their big hippie has decided to focus on environmentalism.
