This offseason was great for Joseph Lombardi. In preparation for the NSFL draft, Joey practiced daily while still studying at Vanderbilt University. His team would make the CFP Final, beating Ohio State 48-45 in the final. Lombardi kicked the winning field goal. He kept practicing, hoping to get picked in the top three rounds. Joey knew some teams needed a player in his position, and he hoped they'd take him. He wasn't, as our friend Joseph was drafted 51st overall by the Philadelphia Liberty. He trained hard after that as well, knowing that he'd be spending the season in the DSFL, as the Liberty have a stud player in his position, Kicker/Punter. Joseph doesn't have a DSFL team, as he's waiting for the DSFL draft. But with his rapid improvement, Lombardi could be seeing NSFL football in S4, whether as a kickoff specialist or a punter. In short, Lombardi improved a lot this season, and hoped to make an impact in the DSFL next season.
