When Godfrey King heard that he would be able to his redshirt team, the Arizona Outlaws, he was beyond ecstatic. Taken with the number 2 overall pick in the S3 Draft, King knew that once again there would be great expectations placed on him to perform, and that it was up to him to prove his GMs right. King hit the weight room relentlessly in the off season, continually building muscle while also working on agility exercises to try and give him the edge over opposing teams' offensive linemen. When he wasn't in the gym, King could be found not only watching his own film to improve from that, but also studied the offenses of each NSFL team, filling out his own scouting reports. He feels this will give him the edge in the upcoming season, as he'll better be able to read those he'll have to get past in order to make tackles. King also made sure to develop good communication with his fellow Outlaws Defensemen, so that they could better coordinate against opposing offenses. King's mental game is as strong as ever, as going into his true rookie season, he's already been a champion and understands the effort it takes to get there.
