During the offseason, Clifford Rove was doing numerous things to make sure he was in the shape necessary going into camp. Knowing that he was the likely starter this season for the Liberty, Rove spent a lot of time in the film room, dissecting the defenses of his future opponents. He also spent time learning his defense, to be aware of their strengths and weaknesses. He also the majority of his practice time on the accuracy of his passes. Prior to being drafted, Rove cited this as one area he felt he could really improve, and it appears he feels he has at least begun to address that concern. After being drafted, Rove also spent time this offseason getting to know his teammates. He had this to say about that: “If I’m expected to be a leader of the offense, I can’t just come in day one and expect them to treat me like it. So thats why I’ve begun to try and form these bonds with my teammates, so that when we’re on the field we can run like a well oiled machine”. While people are across the board on how Rove will play this season, one thing is for certain, he has been working hard to try and meet that challenge.
