It’s really hard for me to pick the top three memorable moments from my playing career!
Getting drafted was one of the most memorable moments of my career. Not only did I not expect to get drafted, but I was picked 33rd overall! I played D1 football at University of Oregon, but didn’t get that much attention since I didn’t put up impressive numbers like my fellow defensive teammates. The Liberty took a chance on me and needed someone to help become a defensive rusher and I’m thankful for their decision to pick me.
The second memorable moment of my career is my first game as a member of the Philadelphia Liberty. It was a surreal moment to step on the field and I can’t believe how nervous I was even though it was a preseason game against the Wraiths! I just remember how anxious I was to get on the field and how cold Yellowknife was even in September! I didn’t put up any stats, but I learned a lot from that game.
The third memorable moment of my career has to be the last game we played at home. We happened to play the Wraiths in this game and it was our first win. I was still fitting into the new defensive scheme as a tackle, but I was able to make a decent impact on the game with 2 tackles, 1 sack, and 1 forced fumble recovery.
