Out of position penalty

Hey, I have a kind of crazy notion. Why don't we have players only play their position? You're a DE, you can only play DE. You're a Safety, then you're only a Safety, not a CB or LB or WR or K or whatever causes the sim to give you insane stats and advantages. Timeconsumer posted a piece the other day about how QBs lining up as WRs breaks the sim for some reason. It would seem to me that the sim is far from perfect and by switching positions without true position changes, you're breaking the system and causing it to give us guys like Tuck having 21 sacks in 7 games.

Any team can do it. Teams know other teams can do it. It's not an exploit or anything if literally everyone can do it

It's also not over powered or anything in my opinion

I haven't looked into the safety-at-linebacker thing but for DE to DT it just takes advantage of the fact that teams typically don't put their best linemen in the inside. DEs have much less weight than DTs have, and it shows when teams have good interior linemen. Just last week the Hawks held Bork (who is apparently gaming the system) to a whopping zero stats. No tackles, no nothing. Because they actually have a good line. The Outlaws don't line Tuck up on the inside every game, only when they know he can take advantage of weaker interior linemen because if they were better he'd get stuffed out (which has happened in the past)

It's just gameplanning, and it's fair because every team can do it and every player can change archetypes and do it if they wanted. It's also not game breaking in my opinion because there are obvious ways to stop it if you gameplan for it. (Not sure about S playing LB for that though)
