To your point #2 there are some interesting things about this Sim you might want to know. Weight really doesn't matter for LB or DB. 180lbs, 270lbs, no difference. Height doesn't matter for any position. Assigning a LB to do coverage duty only also isn't a thing. Lastly you might find it interesting that several teams have found a lot of success by starting a safety at OLB without a position change, we did it with Verns one season and he led the league in tackles. So keep your mind open as seasons progress because bzerkap can use a player like you in a thousand different ways to beat opponents.
